Sahibzada Sultan Muhammad Ali
Sahibzada Sultan Muhammad Ali is the tenth descendent of Hadhrat Sultan Bahoo (R.A) , an eminent Sufi saint and a great literary as well as spiritual personality, whose genealogical tree goes back to Hadhrat Ali (R.A). After receiving his primary education from the shrine of Hadhrat Sultan Bahoo (R.A) located in district Jhang, Pakistan, he went into the supervision of Sheikh-Ul-Quran Mevlana Manzoor Ahmad for higher education in district Bhakhar. He always remains present in the court of his spiritual mentor as well as father and 6th Sultan-ul-Faqr, Hadhrat Sultan Muhammad Asghar Ali (R.A) for the attainment of spiritual knowledge and training.
Sahibzada Sultan Muhammad Ali has introduced many forums in order to keep pace with the emerging contemporary world. He is the Patron-in-Chief of the largest spiritual organization of Pakistan, Islahee Jamaat & Aalmi Tanzeem ul Arifeen (Edifying Movement) which was founded by the 6th Sultan-ul-Faqr, Hadhrat Sultan Muhammad Asghar Ali (R.A). The core objective of this Jamaat is to disseminate the Sufism’s message of love and harmony among masses in the light of teachings of the Holy Quran, and Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (SAWW). For the very purpose, Sahibzada Sultan Muhammad Ali travels across the country in order to introduce people with the Sufi teachings. Under the guidance of Sahibzada Sultan Muhammad Ali, monthly research-based magazine Mirrat ul Arifeen International is published, which covers national and international contemporary issues along with articles on Sufi teachings. Sahibzada Sultan Muhammad Ali also heads Alarifeen publications which are working especially for the dissemination of Sufi literature like the Urdu translations of Hadhrat Sultan Bahoo’s Persian literature etc.
Sahibzada Sultan Muhammad Ali also heads the Madrissah Jamia Ghousia Anwaar Haq Bahoo which represents his vision and farsightedness for the cause of Islam. A complete course of Dars-e-Nizami is being offered to the students by this Madrissah. Establishment of Sultan Bahoo Grammar (S.B.) schools in various districts of Pakistan and at the shrine of Hadhrat Sultan Bahoo is another testament to his dedication to the cause of educating the youth and their character building.
In order to work towards the resolution of challenges faced by the humanity today, Sahibzada Sultan Muhammad Ali founded an international research-based think tank MUSLIM Institute which reflects the dynamic contours of his mission, that is, the Mission of Unity, Stability and Leadership in Muslims. The institute is dedicated to promote research and dialogue on national and international issues especially those faced by the Muslim Ummah. Seminars, national and international conferences, round table discussions, workshops and public walks are some of the most notable activities organized by the institute in order to create awareness among public and also to support policy-making. The Institute also hosts online debates amongst renowned academics of world leading institutions, scholars and policy-makers on its online debate platform “The Muslim Debate” which assists the Institute’s vision of finding solutions to the most pressing and contemporary challenges through research and dialogue. Moreover, being a research-based think tank, the Institute also publishes a peer reviewed quarterly research journal “MUSLIM PERSPECTIVES” which features articles ranging from global affairs, cultural issues, spirituality to psychology and Sufism.
Sahibzada Sultan Muhammad Ali is also a sports enthusiast and inherited the tradition of horse riding. He was a keen rider since from his early childhood and has participated in national and international events of tent pegging and other equestrian competitions like horse dancing. Sahibzada Sultan Muhammad Ali also heads the Muhammadia Haidheria Sultania Awan Club which has trained many horse riders of international repute. The club is one of Pakistan’s largest equestrian clubs. Sahibzada Sultan Muhammad Ali is also the Chairman of Pakistan Tent Pegging Association and is working for all possible measures in order to promote the sport as well as ensure its progress.
Nonetheless, Sahibzada Sultan Muhammad Ali’s love for sports and the will to promote Pakistan’s natural beauty, its countryside, mountains and charming valleys did not stop there as he decided to join off-road motorsports. Just two years following his debut race in off-road motorsports, Sahibzada Sultan Muhammad Ali has won most notable national races such as Cholistan, Gwadar and Thal, and was declared the Off-road Champion of Pakistan in 2016-2017.
In order to promote motor sports in Pakistan, Sahibzada Sultan Muhammad Ali laid the foundation of “Team Sultan” which is Pakistan’s first organized off-road racing team. Under his guidance and vision, Team Sultan has been very successful in representing the soft-image of Pakistan by highlighting the scenic beauty of Pakistan especially the diversity of its off-road tracks together with the driving skills of its racers who have the capacity and skill-set to compete in any off-road racing competitions across the globe. Sahibzada Sultan is also privileged to represent Pakistan as 1st international racer.
Team Sultan also owns its exclusive media cell which comprises of Sultania Awan Photography and Horse Power Magazine, which is Pakistan’s first Urdu Magazine dedicated to promoting motor sports in Pakistan. The magazine also features articles on the introduction of international racers and impartial analysis of different motor vehicles. Team Sultan is comprised of dedicated individuals specialized in various fields such as event management, logistics and mechanical technicians for the maintenance of vehicles.
Following the brief introduction of Sahibzada Sultan Muhammad Ali and his rich background, experience, leadership, dedication and extensive knowledge, it may be an understatement to say that Sahibzada Sultan Muhammad Ali bears a multi-dimensional personality which is not less than a blessing for Pakistan and its populace.
